Torsion Garage door springs are a critical part of any garage door. They create the tension needed to open and close the garage door, It is likely over the life of any garage door the torsion spring(s) will require replacement. If the garage door requires two torsion springs it is best recommended that both springs are replaced with the same springs as the door manufacturer suggests. Garage door springs wear over the lifetime of the garage and depending on the spring installed the number of cycles can vary on the spring installed.
